Medical Facility Roof Replacement
Problem
A medical facility in Enid, Oklahoma experienced significant roof damage following a severe hailstorm. The existing roofing system had been compromised, creating the risk of water intrusion and potential disruption to the building's operations. Because the facility served patrons with PTSD, loud daytime construction noise was a major concern for the building's management. In addition, several rooftop HVAC units needed to be temporarily removed to allow for proper roof replacement, adding logistical and safety challenges to the project.

4 Star General Contracting installed a 60-mil TPO commercial roofing system across approximately 37,400 square feet of roof area. TPO was selected for its durability, weather resistance, and energy-efficient reflective surface, which helps reduce heat absorption and improve building efficiency. The system also provided improved insulation value compared to the previous roof assembly. This solution offered the facility a long-term, low-maintenance roofing system suitable for Oklahoma's severe weather conditions.
Solution
To safely complete the project, 4 Star coordinated with an HVAC contractor to disconnect and remove multiple rooftop units using a crane, allowing full access for roof replacement. Because the facility remained operational during construction, work zones were carefully cordoned off and controlled to maintain safety for staff and visitors. To accommodate the needs of patrons sensitive to loud construction noise, the project schedule was adjusted from daytime operations to nighttime work. Using equipment including a 6K SkyTrak, crane, dumpsters, portable facilities, and onsite storage, the team successfully completed the project in 19 days, delivering a new energy-efficient roof system that improves both building protection and heating/cooling performance.
